The Sony CDP-CE375 5-disc changer features a carousel tray and play exchange, with a play 1/exchange 4 system. The CDP-CE375 plays both regular CDs and CD-R/RW so you can also listen to your own mixes on your home audio system. The front panel features a 7-segment fluorescent display along with a jog dial with Direct Access track selection. Features include play exchange, repeat play, track scan, and a fade in/fade out function for five seconds of fading time on either end of the track. The CDP-CE375 has a 32-track programmable memory and a peak-level search feature, which scans through the disc for the loudest section to set correct volume levels. The CDP-CE375 has several audio options to connect the CD changer to your home audio system, including two analog outputs (1 RCA and 1 fixed/variable), one digital output, and one headphone jack. | After about 20 years of service, during which time I never needed service, my SONY gave out, so I bought this one, hoping for continued good luck. My new SONY is not as simple to operate, which is not a negative aspect; considering my age, 76, and the changes occurring in the electronic field, I'm happy that I was able to master most of the refinements SONY has put in this new player and can enjoy my music again. |

| I bought this 3 weeks ago to replace an old player that wouldn't play some new CDs. It works great for me with no problems so far. Sound is good and shuffle play works fine. I don't mind the lack of on/off button on the remote which seems to be a major complaint. The best thing is long periods of uninterupped music. |

I should have wrote this early. I bought this 5 years a go from bestbuy and still can't believe it is selling. I had no problems yet. I love the disc ex-chang thing. i paid [...] when I first got it. I just wanted to say how good it has been to me.

I bought it a couple of months ago for a good price. I plugged it in, I turned it on. Since then I've been playing CDs with it, with no problems whatsoever. Sometimes I dust it. Sometimes it just sits there quietly. Many times it plays awesome prog rock.
The display is good, the remote is good, and the mechanisms are quiet. The build seems sturdy and (so far) the electronics have been reliable.
This unit replaces a JVC I had; the JVC's buttons were beginning to go. Sound reproduction quality on both units satisfies me - both have 1-bit D/A conversion and 8x oversampling.
So chalk me up as one reviewer whose CDPCE375 works just fine, and I'm happy so far. |
